Safari Style

To finish off mine and Als anniversary weekend we went to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. It was a lovely sunny day and perfect to go and see a range of animals. 

I wore a blue and white butterfly sun dress with cut out sides, a jean shirt and chunky black sandals. 

Yorkshire Wildlife park has been greatly developed over the years, from their work to help lions and the opportunity to get even closer to the animals. 

For giraffes and leopards there is an over head balcony for people to get a closer look at the animals. 

It's the first safari where I have been able to walk through an area where monkeys are jumping around you! I experienced a tiny monkey eating food right in front of where I was stood. It was quite amazing. 

At some point this year they will getting Polar Bears, which would be amazing to see! 

Although I do love going to the Zoo and Safari Parks, I do not agree with animals been kept locked up as an attraction; but then I look at it the opposite way that they are given great environments with great carers. Some of these animals are not endangered but find it extremely difficult to survive in the wild like Lions. Lion cubs have a very low percentage of surviving in the wild due to demand of food and water. So it's a difficult one! 

It is great to see at this park that the animals are treated very well, which is the main worry of animals in captivity. 

I know this post is slightly different to my other posts. I just felt like I needed to voice my opinion. This park is still ongoing development and I hope it offers great care to the animals been kept there! It's a great park and offers something for all ages, whether you go with family or friends.

There are benches everywhere so it would be lovely to take a picnic for a nice day out! The bonus is the price, at £15 per ticket.

Neutral Smokey Eyes

The choice of the amount of makeup you wear on a daily basis is your own. Some women like to wear a full face of makeup, some only like to wear the basics. Whatever you choose it is completely fine. 

On a daily basis I don't wear a full face of makeup. My daily routine consists of moisturiser, foundation, blusher, mascara and lipstick or gloss. Although there are some days I do like to play around with my eye makeup, when I have more time and energy. 

This post is for girls like me and girls that like to wear a full face. This can be used on a daily basis like school or work and it would be great for a night out. I feel this smokey really opens your eyes, there are dark tones to add defination but the neutral tones gives a soft delicate touch.

Drop Dead Gorgeous

Blake Lively attended the Mr Turner Premiere at Cannes Film Festival in a white Sequined Chanel dress. Her hair styled in loose curls and her naturally bronzed complexion demonstrates the beauty she holds. 

The dress has a low V neckline and a clinched waisteline that shows Blake's shapely figure. The detailing of this dress is mesmerizing and oozes high fashion. Accessorising with a white chiffon pashmina and jewellery for extra glamour.

Her long healthy blonde locks supported by her natural makeup and pretty pink lipstick. It seems effortless, it's almost believable that she wakes up looking like that. She is one of most natural beautiful women that are continually gracing Red Carpet Events. 

Since she appeared on Gossip Girl I think most people developed a lot of respect for her natural beauty. I'm a lover of makeup, but the most beautiful women are the ones who don't need a lot. The ones who's beauty shines from the inside.

Everyday Makeup Routine

Almost every woman has a different way of applying their makeup. On a daily basis some women like to wear a lot of makeup, but others prefer to be more natural. However you choose to wear your makeup, a small or large amount is just fine; the choice is yours. 

I change my routine on a day to day basis as I choose between eyeshadow and eyeliner and blusher and  bronzer. I do this because I feel it keeps my makeup looking fresh, so I don't have the same makeup on everyday. If you have a set routine then thats great but I am a little indecisive.

This is my current everyday makeup routine at the moment. This routine is perfect for any occasion as it is classy and simple, so you can wear it to school, work, a day out or a night out.

Outfit of The Day - Colourful Midi Dress and Slouch Cardi

As its been quite warm recently I have been living in colourful clothing and this dress is a perfect example. This is my OOTD and I added a thick slouchy cardigan for warmth and style. I bought this dress from Ebay, it was a great little bargain buy. I have this one and an off the dress in a different print. These dresses are perfect for the summer that is slowly approaching as the fabrics are thin and stretchy, which is very comfortable. I have other midi dresses that are quite difficult to get on due to the tightness of the fabric, making my body feel sucked in and claustrophobic.

This dress was brand new at £8.99 from an Ebay store, I was a little hesitant at first but due to the price I decided to try them out and I am so glad I did. I bought two at the time for a holiday and the owner was nice enough to deduct the shipping cost. There are a lot of these stores online so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

The cardigan is from New Look, it is a very old cardigan that I chucked on as I was cold, but when I looked in the mirror I was pleasantly surprised to how well it all went together. I have been in the house all day so I have had no need for shoes, but if I did I would probably choose some chunky sandals or ankle boots with fashion socks. To top off this look I would add a chunky bag that matched whatever colour shoes I decided to wear.

My makeup is very minimal as I knew I wasn't going anywhere, I don't really put a lot of makeup on when I know I'm staying in. I have been obsessed with high Ponytail Braids recently, when my hair is in the way or I want to get it out of my face this is my go to style.

Spring Summer 2014 - Midi Flared Skirts

I have always found myself keeping a good distance between myself and the midi length flared skirts due to my height. I always thought that they made me look stumpy, but recently I have fallen in love with these graceful skirts. Baggy or loose fitted dresses and skirts below the knee never did my body shape any favours, I think it is due to these 60's inspired skirts being high waisted. Providing any shape or size with a flattering waistline and a shoot out skirt to make the legs look slimmer. 

As we enter the Spring/Summer Season were seeing a range of colourful collections from a range of brands and designers. I think this is the perfect time for these skirts to start hitting the fashion market with bright colours and bold prints. They provide any women, whatever shape or size you are with a feminine and classy look. Whether you want to team it with some classic court shoes for a sophisticated look or some chunky sandals for a more edgy look, the choice is yours depending on your style. 

Here are a few of my Favourite 60's inspired flared skirts that can be styled however you like. There is a choice of bold colours, classic black, vintage prints and cut out designs.

The shape of these skirts are also very versatile, you could wear these in the summer with some sandals, on a night out with some heels, go smart for work with some dolly shoes or go retro with some converse. 

The options are endless.
